Hi! My name is Melissa and I am "The Cutie" of The Cutie Bakes!

I have always been a creative person with an eye for detail having spent the last 6+ years in the animation industry.

I found my love of baking when I started my new life with my husband. It didn't start out as anything special, just a girl in the Christmas spirit wanting to make something special for her family for the holidays.

 

I'd always been intimidated by the idea of baking. I was so afraid of messing up and wasting whatever ingredients I had on hand. Maybe it was my new-found independence, somehow I found the courage during our first Christmas together to make cookies for our families. I was so proud and surprised with what I was able to accomplish that I decided to make baking a yearly tradition at Christmas.

Since then, baking has become my new passion. I've never felt as comfortable with anything else as I do when I'm baking and decorating cookies.
